School

Pont-Aven School of Contemporary Art (PASCA), founded in 1993 in historic Pont-Aven, France, is a vibrant community of artists composed of talented students and excellent faculty from major universities around the world. Ours is an environment encouraging artistic expression, personal growth, and a broader understanding of global perspectives. The goal is neither to repeat the past, nor to copy the present, but to draw upon the unique qualities of Pont-Aven and PASCA to inspire new ideas.

The PASCA community consists of 20-30 third-year university honors level and post-baccalaureate students during the 15 week semesters, and 30-40 university level students during the two Advanced Summer Intensives. Over 800 students have studied at PASCA from all over the United States, France, Canada, China, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, India, Japan, Jamaica, Korea, Mexico, Montenegro, The Philippines, Switzerland, Turkey, and the United Kingdom with ages ranging from 18 to 70.

Pont-Aven School of Contemporary Art is a private, United States non-profit 501(c)(3) educational entity fully accredited for undergraduate university-level study through its affiliation with Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon and Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, Rhode Island.
