BFA/BA Semester
Time. Space. Focus. Mentoring… the ingredients to foster life-long artistic practice.
At the core of the Semester Abroad curriculum are courses in painting and drawing, sculpture and site work, printmaking, digital and time-based strategies, mixed media and art history/contemporary criticism.
- 5 courses, carrying a total of 15 credits
- 13 weeks of focused course and studio work in Pont-Aven
- 2 weeks of travel with faculty to European contemporary art centers
- A group exhibition and/ or Open Studio event at the end of the term
- A 2-D studio (e.g. painting, drawing, print)
- A 3-D studio (e.g. sculpture, installation, site work)
- A 4-D studio (time-based strategies that may include video, performance, photo, digital media)
- A critical studies course
- French culture and language courses
- Two six-day Cultural Site Seminars: Paris and Berlin, with Madrid/Barcelona, or London or Venice (in Biennale years)

Undergraduate coursework at PASCA is accredited through Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon. Our courses satisfy the National Association of Schools of Art and Design requirements in the following areas: 300 level studio, art history/critical studies and French culture and language. Many other colleges and universities grant credit directly. (contact us for more information)
