What is the best way to communicate back home once I'm in Pont-Aven?
PASCA is a wireless campus, so while here, having a laptop with wi-fi access is best. Skype is often used to communicate with family overseas. Public phones (rather than those of host families) are also a good mode of communication. See handbook for more details.
Who is my host family? I want to make contact now to get to know them.

Do I really need a student visa?

Who arranges transportation to and from Paris?
The student. Airfare from home to Paris is not included in the tuition. See student handbook for details.
Who arranges transportation to and from Pont-Aven?
We do. Group bus and/or train transport from the airport. An email will be sent a few weeks before the semester with meeting spot details, but be sure to read the student handbook for detailed instructions before booking flights. Also, it's a good idea to have the handbook handy once you arrive.
When do I find out what supplies I'll need to bring?
We will email you a list a few weeks before the start of the program
Can I buy supplies there?
Yes, we do weekly trips to two art supply store in neighboring Quimper. We also use a very well stocked supplier (Boesners) for catalog orders. Trips to local hardware, fabric and lumber stores are also arranged.
Can friends and family visit me in Pont-Aven?
Yes, as long as it does not interfere with your coursework and attendance during class times and PASCA administration is made aware of the arrival/departure dates. It's also important that your guests' presence does not distract the other students. We highly recommend that visits occur during the week of break to avoid conflict with curricular expectations.
